Why would I choose the oval first?
Because the thing being inspected is usually longer than it is wide. An oval gives you that length without asking for a wider opening. If you would rather not think about orientation, the round heads are the simpler instrument.

Can I buy the oval on its own?
Yes – the mirror without a handle is the one to order if you already run SS-threaded handles.

Reprocessing?
The two parts separate and clean as separate items, following Hahnenkratt's EN ISO 17664-1 processing instructions.
