Use	Mixing MTA powder and liquid or gel by hand
NeoMTA® 2	Avalon’s NeoMTA 2 FAQ (IFU-62) recommends a glass slab, and says a coated paper pad that does not absorb water also works. Its putty mix starts with a level scoop of powder on the slab, gel added a drop at a time, and a medium-flex spatula; it says to mix the gel into the powder, not the powder into the gel

Questions we get asked

Do I need a glass slab for NeoMTA 2?
Avalon say they highly recommend one. Their FAQ also says a high-quality coated pad that does not absorb water can be used, because an uncoated pad soaks up the gel.

Is the slab still available?
No. It has been discontinued, and there is no direct replacement slab in our range. If you need one, call 01733 404999 or email sales@qedendo.com.

Will it work with ProRoot MTA?
Dentsply Sirona’s directions name a mixing pad for general use and a clean glass slab for primary-tooth pulpotomy, so a glass slab is a surface their directions describe. Follow their directions for your indication.
