OraSeal™ Putty · Block-out material

Stiffer body, for the spaces you need to block rather than seal

Impression around an implant bar? Undercuts filling with material you will spend ten minutes picking out? OraSeal™ Putty is the heavier-bodied member of the OraSeal family – Ultradent describes it as having the same adhesive qualities as the caulking material in a stiffer consistency, which is what you want when the job is to occupy a space and stay there.

This pack: 4 × 1.2 ml syringes of Putty
Made by Ultradent, USA

Stiffer bodyHolds its shape in an undercut or embrasure instead of slumping into the field
Same adhesionThe adhesive qualities of OraSeal Caulking – sticks to wet dam, tissue and tooth
Block-out workCloses open spaces between gingiva and attachments when taking impressions around bars and clips
No curing stepSyringe it in, take the impression, scrape it out – nothing to set and nothing to wait for

› Indicated for blocking undercuts during impressions with fixed bridgework and implant bars, filling gingival embrasures of splints and bridges, filling screw holes on implant impressions, and dam sealing where a firmer material suits.
› Delivered through a White Mac™ tip – the greater delivery angle earns its keep with the thicker material.
› Not for extraction sites, deep pockets, or critical dimension areas.

Putty or Caulking?
Putty for block-out, undercuts and anywhere the material must hold its shape. OraSeal Caulking flows, so it is the better repair for a leaking dam. Plenty of practices keep both – the OraSeal Kit is the tidy way to do that.

Will it distort my impression?
It is placed to block spaces before the impression material goes in, then removed afterwards by scraping and a firm air/water rinse. Keep it out of critical dimension areas.

Any contraindications?
Ultradent's instructions record no known contraindications, but confirm the patient has no known allergies to treatment materials, as with anything you place.
