Kohler’s endodontic surgery retractor, developed with Dr. David Han. It is 17.5 cm overall with a 50 mm blade, and Kohler build five distinct features into it – each one answering a different thing that goes wrong with a plain retractor.

The five features, in Kohler’s words

Why the teeth matter

A smooth retractor rides on soft tissue and slips. Kohler’s toothed tip is meant to seat on cortical bone instead, so the blade stays where it was placed and the assistant is not constantly resetting it.
