The MTA Smart System Training Set is Cerkamed's bench kit for learning to place MTA: a training MTA powder and liquid that handle like the real thing, five modified DRSK resin teeth each with a perforation or resorption to repair, a silicone mass to hold them, a slide, mixing papers, a pipette and a measuring cup. Cerkamed are explicit: "Product is for training use only. It is not suitable for use on patients."

What is in the box

›  Cerkamed: "ATTENTION! Product is for training use only. It is not suitable for use on patients."

›  The five teeth cover the indications on the MTA+ page one by one – floor perforation, lateral wall perforation, apical resorption, an open apex – so a course can work through each of them on the bench.

Is the training MTA the same as MTA+?

No, and Cerkamed say so: it is a training material, not a medical device, and never goes near a patient. It is formulated to mix and handle like MTA so the placement is what you practise.

Which instruments should go with it?

The ones you will use on the day: the Tools for MTA (MX1–MX4), an MTA+ Applicator 0.8 mm or MTA+ Applicator 1.2 mm, and the Vista Apex MTA carriers. A study club can run the whole set through in one evening.
