X-Smart Pro+ with a second contra-angle from day one

The same X-Smart Pro+ motor with integrated apex locator as our standard pack, with an extra 5:1 contra-angle in the order. One head in use, one in the autoclave – and the instructions ask for a calibration each time the head is changed, which takes seconds.

This pack: X-Smart® Pro+ Motor with Extra Contra
Made by Dentsply Sirona

›  Genuine reciprocating motion. Presets for WaveOne® Gold and RECIPROC® blue in reciprocation and ProTaper Ultimate® and TruNatomy® in rotation, plus up to 30 sequences of your own (Dentsply Sirona).
›  Measures while it shapes. At the working length you set, the motor “automatically rotates in the reverse or non-cutting direction until the Finger Switch is pressed”, as the instructions put it.
›  Why the second head. The contra-angle is sterilised after every patient; with two, a list is not waiting on the autoclave.

What we get asked

What else comes in the box?
Everything in the standard pack – the full list is on the X-Smart Pro+ page – plus the extra contra-angle.

Does the apex locator replace the radiograph?
No. The instructions say it “does not replace the radiological determination of the working length”.

Is the foot switch included?
No – the wireless foot switch is a separate order.

The instructions give the device no known contraindications, and carry warnings worth reading first: NiTi files can fracture from fatigue whatever drives them, and electromagnetic interference can affect apex location. The instructions give 3 years on the main unit including the foot control, 3 years on the handpiece and cable, 2 years on the battery and 1 year on the contra-angle.
