How do you standardise an endodontic course when every extracted tooth is different? You stop relying on extracted teeth. The ModuPRO Endo is Acadental's modular endodontic typodont: maxillary and mandibular modules that take replica or natural teeth, attach magnetically to a carrier tray, and come out again when the exercise is finished. Everyone in the room works on identical anatomy, films are comparable across a cohort, and the bench resets between sessions in minutes rather than an afternoon.

Setting up a session

1 Seat the modules. Maxillary and mandibular modules drop onto the magnetic carrier tray in a fixed position, so every bench in the room presents the same arch.

2 Set the tooth. Acadental supply fixing gel for stabilising a replica or natural tooth in its socket. Teeth already carried in a breakaway insert, such as the Real-T Endo #14 with insert, snap in without it.

3 Set up the apex locator. Acadental supply conductive apex putty and apex locator bars for use with an electronic apex locator – the conductive path that lets a bench model give a reading at all.

4 Work and radiograph. Access, length, shaping and obturation on radiopaque teeth such as Real-T Endo or X2 Endo, then compare films across the cohort.

› Check your generation before ordering. Acadental state plainly that the latest generation modules are not compatible with prior versions. If your department bought ModuPRO Endo before 2026, tell us what you have and we will confirm what fits.
› Teeth are bought separately. The kit is published as being for use with replica or natural teeth, not as supplying them – which is the point, because it lets one typodont serve an undergraduate cohort and a postgraduate course.
› Electronic length and film, side by side. The apex locator bars exist so a student can take a reading and a radiograph of the same canal and be asked why they disagree.

Common questions

Does it come with teeth?
No. Acadental publish the ModuPRO Endo as a typodont for use with replica or natural teeth. Choose the teeth to match the exercise: Endo 3DP for see-through shaping practice, Real-T Endo for radiographable undergraduate work, X2 Endo where access and film realism matter.

Will my existing modules fit?
Only if they are the same generation. Acadental changed the modules in 2026 and the new ones do not fit prior versions. Ask us before ordering rather than after.

Can we use extracted teeth in it?
Yes – the sockets and fixing gel are published for replica or natural teeth, which is useful for a department that has a consented extracted-tooth bank as well as a teaching budget.

What gets used up?
The mounting materials, and eventually the modules themselves once sockets have been loaded and unloaded through enough courses. The ModuPRO Endo Refill Kit replaces both as a set.

Is it worth it for a small practice?
If one or two people are learning, loose teeth in the hand are cheaper. The typodont earns its place when the exercise is access angle, radiography, or teaching several people the same case at once.
