NaviTip™ Single Sideport · 29 ga · 21 mm
Placing calcium hydroxide and holding your breath at the apex? The NaviTip™ 29 ga Single Sideport is closed and rounded at the end, with the port set into the side of the cannula. Ultradent describes it as designed to direct the flow of chemistry through the sideport before it flows down into the area of the apex, thus reducing the risk of product extrusion. It is the tip Ultradent specifies for UltraCal™ XS.
This pack: 20 × NaviTip 29 ga Single Sideport, 21 mm, yellow
Made by Ultradent, USA
| Side port | Capped, rounded end with the opening in the side wall – chemistry leaves the cannula before the apical third |
| Rubber stop | Tight-fitting stop set at 3–4 mm from the apex, so depth is measured before the tip goes anywhere near the canal |
| 29 gauge | Fine enough for the canal, with the final 5 mm annealed to follow curvature |
| Yellow = 21 mm | Colour matched to endo file lengths – the standard length for most cases |
› Technique (Ultradent's IFU) – set the rubber stop 3–4 mm short of the apex, keep the cannula free in the canal, and dispense gently while slowly withdrawing.
› Never dispense a wedged tip – if the cannula binds, withdraw and reposition before expressing anything.
› Buy it with the paste – the UltraCal XS refill + sideport tip bundle is the cheaper way to hold both.
Which length should I stock?
21 mm covers most anteriors and premolars and is the one to hold if you hold only one. 25 mm for longer roots, 27 mm for the deepest access, or an assorted box if your case mix varies.
Will it fit my syringe?
Yes – Lok-Tite threads onto the Skini syringe and Ultradent Luer lock syringes, including the UltraCal XS dosage syringe.
Does the sideport slow delivery?
It changes the direction of flow, not the gauge. Dispense with light pressure while withdrawing, exactly as with an open-end tip.
