Capillary Tips · 0.36 mm · 20 tips
Six points in and the canal is still damp? Capillary Tips attach to the Ultradent™ Luer Vacuum Adapter and evacuate the canal directly – Ultradent states they substantially minimise the use of paper points. The narrow, flexible taper follows curvature instead of stopping at the first bend.
This pack: 20 × Capillary Tips, 0.36 mm with a 0.014" opening
Made by Ultradent, USA
| 0.014" opening | A 0.36 mm tip – fine enough to sit in the canal rather than hover over the access cavity |
| Flexible taper | Narrow and flexible, so it accesses curved canals rather than binding at the coronal third |
| Fewer paper points | Suction removes the bulk of the liquid; points finish the job instead of doing all of it |
| Not for chemistry | Ultradent is explicit: never use these to deliver irrigating materials or endodontic chemistries |
› Attaches to the Ultradent™ Luer Vacuum Adapter for moisture removal from canals.
› Where it fits the sequence – after final irrigation, before obturation; a couple of seconds per canal is enough to clear standing liquid.
› Beyond the canal – Ultradent also lists irrigation of peri-implant pockets with chlorhexidine gel delivered through a Capillary Tip. That is a periodontal application; the warning above still governs endodontic chemistries.
› For delivering endodontic chemistry – use a NaviTip™ 29 ga instead.
Can I irrigate through them?
Not with endodontic chemistry – Ultradent warns against using Capillary Tips to deliver irrigants or endodontic chemistries, so deliver those through a NaviTip. They do list one delivery use of their own: chlorhexidine gel into peri-implant pockets, which is periodontal rather than endodontic.
Twenty or fifty?
Twenty for occasional endodontics. If you are drying multiple canals on most lists, the 50-tip pack is the better cost per tip.
Single use?
Yes – Ultradent specifies single-use only and publishes no reprocessing protocol.
