Four more millimetres, for the roots that need them

A 21 mm tip is the easier one to seat, right up until the root is longer than the tip. Canines, long-rooted premolars and most anterior work want the 25 mm cannula. Same 29 gauge bore, same flexible stainless construction, same open end for sealer – just enough extra reach that you are not working at the very limit of the tip.

Should I just buy the longer one for everything?
You can, but a longer cannula is slightly more flexible along its length and harder to seat in a tight posterior access. Most practices keep both and choose at the chair.

Is this the irrigation tip?
No. This is the open-end delivery tip. Ultradent's sideport NaviTips™ are the irrigation pattern and are sold separately.
