Real-T-Endo™ · #19 lower left first molar · radiopaque

The tooth your students will treat most often, so practise on it most

If you could only buy one training molar, which should it be? The lower first molar, and Acadental say so plainly: outstanding for practising complete root canal treatment, as this tooth is one of the most frequent in need of endodontic care. The Real-T Endo #19 has two roots, with two canals in the mesial root and one in the distal – the layout that turns up again and again in a UK practice. It radiographs completely, so a full case can be taught end to end: length, cone fit, final film.

This item: 1 × Real-T Endo #19, lower left first molar (LL6), radiopaque
Made by Acadental, USA · mfr code RT_AE401_19

Two mesial canalsMesiobuccal and mesiolingual in one root – the skill that separates two-canal from three-canal work
One distal canalA findable distal canal, so the exercise is about doing three canals properly
The commonest caseAcadental's own reasoning for the tooth – it is the one most frequently in need of endodontic care
Radiographs fullyAcadental: the entire tooth can be radiographed

› A complete case in one tooth – access, three canals, working-length film, obturation and a final radiograph, all on a tooth students will meet in their first year of practice.
› The harder version – Endo 3DP #19 adds pronounced secondary curvature, an apical isthmus and a second distal canal – but it is see-through, not radiographable.
› The upper counterpart – pair it with #03 so a cohort meets an MB2 as well.

Do the two mesial canals join?
Acadental publishes two canals in the mesial root and one in the distal, and does not describe a merge. If a specified apical configuration matters for your teaching, the X2 Endo #30 lower first molar is documented in more detail.

How many per student?
One per attempt. There is no published reprocessing protocol, and a filled canal cannot be re-taught.

Can we take working-length films in the typodont?
Yes – that is what the ModuPRO Endo module is built for, and Acadental supplies conductive apex putty and locator bars so the electronic reading can be compared with the film.
