The tooth you did not plan for turns up on a Thursday afternoon. This blister holds two each of ISO 006, 008 and 010 at 21 mm – the whole negotiating sequence for a calcified posterior tooth, in the length that suits it, with a second of every size so a stressed file gets retired rather than re-used.

› Work down, then back up – try 010, drop until one advances, then rebuild to a loose 010.
› Irrigate between sizes – the sequence makes dentine mud; flush it rather than push through it. A chelating gel such as File-Eze™ is optional and not universally endorsed.
› Use the spare – that is what the second file of each size is for.
› Then finish – ISO 12.5 and 015 if you complete glide paths by hand.

Exactly what is in it?
Six files at 21 mm: two ISO 006, two ISO 008, two ISO 010. VDW list the assortment as spanning ISO 06 to 10; the split is confirmed with our stock.

Assorted or single sizes?
Assorted if calcified canals are occasional. Single-size blisters – 008 and 010 especially – once you are getting through one size steadily.
