Cramped access is exactly where you least want to be leaning on a file. Going from 010 straight to 015 asks the canal for 50% more tip diameter in one instrument; VDW's intermediate ISO 12.5 turns that into a 25% step and then a 20% one. On the 19 mm shaft it is the version for second molars, short roots and any tooth where your hand position is already a compromise.

Yes. Our catalogue shortens VDW's intermediate size to 012; the tip diameter is 0.125 mm. There is no separate ISO 12 instrument.
Worth stocking in 19 mm specifically?
If you finish glide paths by hand in molars, yes – those are the teeth where the 010 to 015 jump is felt. Otherwise the 21 mm version covers most work.
