AH Plus, mixed in the tip instead of on the pad

Same sealer, no spatula. AH Plus Jet, launched in 2005, puts the AH Plus epoxy-amine pastes in what Dentsply Sirona call “a user-friendly double-barrel syringe designed for easier application”. They are mixed as they pass through a disposable tip, and Dentsply Sirona describe the result as “a controlled, homogenous mixture”. The intra oral tip places sealer straight into the canal, or you can dispense onto the pad if you coat the cone. Dentsply Sirona’s own AH Plus scientific manual notes that AH Plus “has been described by many authors as the 'gold standard' in root canal sealing materials”, and the benchmark new sealers are evaluated against.

› Bleed a new syringe – Dentsply Sirona: “To ensure an appropriate mixing ratio, dispense a small amount of paste from the syringe prior to the first clinical application.”
› Fit the tip by the notch – Attach the mixing tip to the syringe, aligning the notch, as the technique guide shows.
› One tip, one application – “After the sealer application, mixing tip and intraoral tip must be discarded.” Recap the syringe.
› Check the history – The directions list hypersensitivity to epoxy resins, amines or other components as a contraindication.

Is it the same sealer as the AH Plus in tubes?
Dentsply Sirona describe AH Plus Jet as using the AH Plus resin-based formula. The difference is delivery: the Jet mixes for you, the 8 ml paste suits a pad and spatula.

What do I reorder?
Syringes come as the Refill (two 15 g syringes, no tips). Tips come separately in boxes of 40.

Resin or bioceramic is a real choice of technique rather than a ranking – we carry both because both are right in different hands. Dentsply Sirona now have a bioceramic of their own, ProRoot Bio Sealer – premixed, 25 gauge ProRoot Flex Tip.
