The smallest canal in the range, and the least forgiving access

Why do lower incisors go wrong so often? Because everything about them is small: a narrow crown, a thin root, and a canal that gives no margin for a misdirected bur. Acadental describe the X2 Endo #25 as a typical mandibular single-rooted central incisor with a moderately small canal, some constriction beginning mid-root and slight curvature towards the facial in the apical third. It is the tooth for teaching a conservative access, and with dual hardness the bur meets enamel before it meets dentin, exactly as it would clinically.

› An angulation lesson – the apical curve to the facial does not show on a straight periapical, which makes this a good tooth for teaching a second, angled film.
› Conservative access – a lower incisor punishes over-extension, and dual hardness means the bur behaves as it would in a real crown.
› The upper counterpart – X2 Endo #09 is the gentler single canal for a first competency attempt.

Is a lower incisor worth a session of its own?
It is the best small-canal exercise in the range, and it is where a student learns that a 010 hand file has a job to do before anything rotates.

Will the file separate?
It can, with no glide path and a canal this size – which is a lesson rather than a fault. Establish patency first, as you would clinically.

Is there a see-through version?
Not at this position in QED's range. The nearest see-through anterior is the Endo 3DP #09 upper central.
