The 25 gauge Gutta-Smart™ cartridge – the finest, sold separately from the kit

One cartridge, one patient, one heat cycle. Each cartridge is a sealed dose of Dentsply Sirona’s low-temperature Conform Fit® gutta-percha for the Flow handpiece – and the directions are unusually firm that it is “for single patient use only” and “cannot be reheated or reused.”

›  Never reheat. Dentsply Sirona warn that reheating or reusing a cartridge can rupture it, which will permanently damage the handpiece – and count it as misuse that voids the warranty.
›  Wipe, do not sterilise. Wipe the cannula with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry before use. Never immerse or autoclave a cartridge.
›  Bend with the tool only. The cannula bending tool, to within 5 mm of working length. Fingers or repeated bending can rupture the cartridge or damage the handpiece.
›  Let the heater cool. Never remove a hot cartridge; dispose of spent ones in a sharps bin.

In both Conform Fit® master cones and Gutta-Smart™ cartridges, the gutta-percha formula flows at a lower temperature, requiring less heat from the handpieces.
