You solved the glare on the mirror and left it on the handle. At working magnification with coaxial light, a bright handle sits in the field and costs contrast on everything else in it. The BLACKline ERGOtouch is the same stainless handle under a diamond-like carbon coating – Hahnenkratt's own line is "no reflection due to extra matte, deep black DLC coating". It is the cheapest single thing you can do about scope glare.

Is DLC just black paint?
No – diamond-like carbon is a hard, thin coating deposited onto the steel, which is why Hahnenkratt use it on instruments that get handled and reprocessed rather than a lacquer. The visible property they sell it on is that it is extra matt and does not reflect.

Will it take a normal mirror as well?
Yes. It is an SS thread, so the standard ULTRAvision No. 4 cone fits it exactly as the micro heads do.

Why is it cheaper than the satin stainless one?
They are two different handles, not a better and a worse one. The ERGOtouch duo is threaded at both ends and carries two mirror heads, which is what the extra four pounds buys. This one is single ended and matt. If glare under a scope is the problem you are solving, this is the one that solves it.
