The point cut for a F3 preparation, not a taper that nearly fits

A canal finished to F3 has a variable taper. A constant-taper point wicks from the wrong part of the canal and leaves the apical third wet. These are made to the F3 shape.

›  Drying is a step, not a formality. Sealer behaves differently in a wet canal, and the instructions name a dedicated paper point for the job: “Use dedicated paper points to dry and dedicated gutta-percha points to obturate the root canals.”
›  Cell packed. Each point sits in its own cell, so you take one out without handling the rest.
›  Matched to the file, not to an ISO size. ProTaper Gold preparations are variable taper. The point follows that shape.
