Why is a bench access always easier than a clinical one? Because on the bench nobody has to reach past the tooth in front, angle the handpiece under a cheek, or keep the bur off the adjacent contact. This is the Real-T Endo #14 supplied in a breakaway insert: the insert snaps straight into the maxillary left endo module, so the tooth sits in the arch with its neighbours and the approach angle is the one the student will meet clinically.

Is the insert worth the extra over a loose tooth?
If the exercise is access, yes – the difficulty of an upper left first molar is mostly about reach and angle, and a tooth held in your fingers removes both. If the exercise is shaping, a loose tooth is the cheaper choice.

Will it radiograph?
Acadental publishes the insert-mounted #14 in more than one specification, so confirm with us which version your order will ship before planning a radiography session around it. The loose Real-T Endo #14 is radiopaque throughout.

Do I need mounting material?
No – that is the point of the insert. The fixing gel and apex putty in the ModuPRO Endo kit are for setting loose replica or natural teeth into a module.
