The two sizes you use less, in one blister

Most canals take an R25, which is exactly why the other two sizes are awkward to stock. Buying six R40 and six R50 to cover the handful of wide canals on a list ties up files that expire on the shelf rather than in a tooth. This blister holds three of each – the pairing VDW build into their own System Kit alongside a box of R25, and the same one that makes sense on its own.

› Both answers to the ISO 30 test. An ISO 30 hand file that reaches working length passively means R50; one that does not, where an ISO 20 does, means R40. This pack covers whichever way the test goes.
› And the step up from R25. If gauging with a hand file one size larger than the R25 takes it to full length, the apical third needs enlarging – and the file that does it is in this blister.
› Note what is not in it. No R25. The assortment is deliberately the larger two sizes, because the R25 is the one you buy by the box.

Which cones and points do I need?
Both sizes have their own. Either buy them singly – R40 cones and R50 cones – or take the assorted boxes, which carry all three sizes together and follow the same stocking logic as this blister.

Is this cheaper than buying both?
It is a stock decision rather than a discount: one blister instead of two, so the sizes you use occasionally arrive in a quantity that matches how often you use them.
