VDW.ROTATE basic sequence, 25 mm – three files, the whole intuitive run

15/.04, 20/.05 and 25/.06 in one sterile blister. VDW describe “an intuitive 3-file basic sequence” and say the range “offers a range of files to effectively master canal anatomies from simple to complex”. This is the cheapest way to find out whether the file suits your hand.

›  Three files, most cases. Glide path, then shape, then finish at 25. Larger sizes only if the anatomy asks for them.
›  Heat-treated wire. VDW say it “strengthens cyclic fatigue resistance of the file and lowers the risk of file breakage”.*
›  Short learning curve. VDW say “The tactile feeling and the option to use VDW.ROTATE™ files in brushing or in picking motion facilitate quick learning”.
›  Swap the last file for 25/.04. For narrow, highly curved canals VDW suggest finishing on .04 instead.

Questions we get asked

Is three files really enough?
For most cases, yes – VDW build the range that way. If the canal is wider than a 25 you carry on into the larger sizes with the same wire and the same feel.

Coming from Mtwo?
This is the quickest way to try the newer file. Same S-section family, with the heat treatment and handle coding added.
