Endo 3DP™ · #14 upper left first molar · pre-accessed

Easy, moderate and severe – three difficulties in one molar

How do you set a hands-on course exercise that suits the fast delegate and the struggling one? You give them a tooth where the difficulty is built into the roots. Acadental calls the Endo 3DP #14 a great tooth for hands-on courses because each root has unique complexities ranging from easy, moderate to severe: two canals in the mesiobuccal root, fairly benign curvature in the distobuccal, and slight curvature in the palatal. They also make the practical point that it is easy to hold in the hand and easy to visualise all canals – which matters when a demonstrator is working a room.

This item: 1 × Endo 3DP #14, upper left first molar (UL6), supplied pre-accessed
Made by Acadental, USA · mfr code 3D_AE601A_14RL

Two MB canalsThe mesiobuccal root carries two canals – the severe end of the tooth
Benign DB rootFairly benign curvature, so there is somewhere for a struggling delegate to succeed
Slight palatal curveThe moderate case, and the canal most people use to calibrate their length control
Easy to holdAcadental's own note – usable in the hand as well as mounted, with all canals visible

› The course-day molar – one tooth covering three levels of difficulty means one order code for a mixed-ability room.
› Pre-accessed – every delegate starts from the same cavity, so the comparison at the end is fair.
› The other upper molar – #03 (UR6) adds an isthmus, a lateral canal and a fin if the group is ready for it.

Can I use it out of a typodont?
Yes – Acadental specifically notes it is easy to hold in the hand, which suits a lecture demonstration or a delegate working through a canal at their own bench.

Can I radiograph it?
No. Endo 3DP teeth are radiolucent – the trade for being see-through. For films at this position use the radiopaque Real-T Endo #14.

Which molar should a course start with?
This one. The graded roots let a delegate finish something even if the MB2 defeats them, which is a better first molar experience than failing everywhere at once.
