The Endo 3DP #31 is a two-rooted mandibular second molar with extreme curved canals, an aging pulp chamber and a calcified, ribbon-shaped distal canal. That last detail is the one worth paying for: a ribbon-shaped canal cannot be made round by a rotary file, and watching that fact through a see-through tooth teaches more about instrumentation limits than any lecture slide.

Why teach a canal that cannot be fully instrumented?
Because trainees who have never seen an untouched ribbon assume a shaped canal is a clean one. Once seen through the tooth wall, the case for irrigant volume, activation and time makes itself.

Should this be a delegate's first molar?
No. Start on #30, progress to #19, and keep #31 for the session on curvature and calcification.

Do I need a glide path first?
On curves like these, yes – establish patency and a glide path with small hand files before any engine-driven instrument goes in.
