Two codes, one tip. Obtura Spartan build every CPR tip in two threads and put an E on the end of the EMS one: their own catalogue entry for this tip reads “EMS Threaded Tip CPR 6E”. If your handpiece takes an EMS-threaded tip, this is the code. If it does not, you want CPR 6 instead – the same tip, the other thread.

Obtura Spartan describe CPR 6, 7 and 8 as combining “the flexibility & strength of titanium alloy with the proven cutting ability of a CPR tip”. CPR 6 is the short one, 20.0 mm. Style Italiano Endodontics, writing about the range, put the practical difference like this: the titanium alloy “results in a smoother cutting action with less chatter”.
