Two codes, one tip. Obtura Spartan build every CPR tip in two threads and put an E on the end of the EMS one: their own catalogue entry for this tip reads “EMS Threaded Tip CPR 8E”. If your handpiece takes an EMS-threaded tip, this is the code. If it does not, you want CPR 8 instead – the same tip, the other thread.

CPR 8 is the longest Obtura Spartan make in the CPR range, in the same titanium alloy as CPR 6 and 7. Style Italiano Endodontics, writing on deep canal work, go further than we would: “CPR 8 is always the best choice in terms of efficacy and durability in such cases.” Their words, not ours.
