KSK 26 · wingless · molar · black
When the tooth neck is exposed, the clamp has to work on root surface, and the wings get in the way of seeing whether it has. The 26 is wingless with slightly festooned beaks, drawn for upper molars where the cervical area is showing – and Dentech list it for second bicuspids too, which makes it a useful one clamp to own if your case mix straddles the two.
This item: 1 × KSK rubber dam clamp No.26, wingless, black
Made by Dentech, Japan · Black finish · supplied singly
| Exposed neck | Slightly festooned beaks for an upper molar with the cervical area exposed |
| Wingless | Clamp first, dam over it – nothing sitting over the cervical area you need to watch |
| Also fits | Second bicuspids, per Dentech's own listing |
› Winged alternative for the same region: the No.5.
› Subgingival margin – look at the W8A, which is the wingless deeply-festooned molar clamp.
› Seal the leak with OraSeal™ putty where an exposed neck leaves a gap.
Why choose wingless here?
Because you want to watch the beaks find the root surface. Wings sit over exactly the area you are trying to see, and on an exposed neck that is the part that decides whether the clamp holds.
Can I still place the dam and clamp together?
Not as one assembly. Wingless clamps go on first, then the dam is stretched over them, or the dam is carried on the clamp bow.
