KSK 9T Tiger · winged · anterior · black
Incisors are the worst shape in the mouth for a clamp: conical, smooth, and with almost no undercut to catch. The 9T is the Tiger version of the No.9 – the same offset anterior form, with serrated beak faces that grip a tooth which sheds a smooth clamp on contact.
This item: 1 × KSK rubber dam Tiger clamp No.9T, winged, black
Made by Dentech, Japan · Black finish · supplied singly
| Serrated offset beaks | Grip for labial cavities on anteriors where a smooth beak slides |
| Anteriors | Incisors and canines, labial work |
| Winged | Dam, frame and clamp go on as one assembly, in a single movement |
› Try the smooth one first – the No.9 is the same shape without the serration.
› Tissue in the way: the 212 compresses the gingiva on an anterior.
› Belt and braces – Wedjets small between the contacts as well as the clamp.
Is a Tiger clamp harder on the tooth?
It engages more positively, so seat it deliberately and do not spread it further than the tooth requires. That is Dentech's standing caution for every clamp in the range, serrated or not.
What does the T mean?
Tiger – Dentech's name for their serrated-beak clamps. The family runs 1T, 1AT, 2T, 2AT, 9T, 14T and 56T.
