KSK 1AT Tiger · winged · premolar · black
A subgingival premolar cavity asks two things of a clamp at once: reach below the margin, and hold once it gets there. The 1AT does both – deeply festooned beaks to follow the tooth under the tissue, with the Tiger serration on the beak faces so it does not climb back out.
This item: 1 × KSK rubber dam Tiger clamp No.1AT, winged, black
Made by Dentech, Japan · Black finish · supplied singly
| Subgingival | Dentech list it especially for subgingival bicuspid cavities |
| Deeply festooned + serrated | Reach and grip in one beak form |
| Winged | Dam, frame and clamp go on as one assembly, in a single movement |
› Less aggressive options: the No.1 festooned, or the 2T serrated but flat.
› Wingless with deep festooning – the Y10.
› Seal the margin with OraSeal™ caulking once the clamp is down.
Is this the most retentive premolar clamp in the range?
It is the one that combines the deepest festooning with a serrated beak, which is the combination you want when nothing else stays on. Reach for it when the simpler clamps have failed, not first.
Will the beaks sit on bone?
They are drawn to engage tooth below the gingival margin, not to be driven onto crest. If the clamp will only stay by being forced down, the answer is a different clamp or a different isolation strategy.
