A standard premolar clamp on a narrow lower second premolar just rocks. The 00 is the narrowest bicuspid clamp Dentech make, with flat beaks and a light spring, and their catalogue lists it for deciduous anteriors as well as small premolars – two places where nothing else in the range will seat.

Will it hold on a deciduous tooth?
Dentech list the 00 for deciduous anteriors as well as small permanent bicuspids. For deciduous molars they make a separate numbered range.

How much can I open it?
Only as far as the tooth needs. Dentech's own safety instruction is not to expand a clamp more than necessary – over-spreading is what deforms and breaks them.
