Serrated beaks for the premolar that will not hold

Some lower bicuspids are simply too smooth and too conical to hold a clamp. The Tiger clamps are Dentech's answer: the same geometry as the standard range, with the beak faces serrated so they bite the enamel rather than slide off it. The 2T is the flat-beak, lower bicuspid member of that family.

Will serrated beaks mark the enamel?
They engage more firmly than a smooth beak, which is the point. Seat the clamp deliberately rather than letting it snap, and do not over-spread it – Dentech's own caution.

When is a Tiger clamp the right call?
When the standard clamp is the right shape but keeps rising off the tooth. If the shape is wrong, a serrated beak will not rescue it.
