A premolar whose widest point has gone subgingival needs beaks that go and find it. Dentech describe the Y10 as the wingless version of their No.1, with deep festooned beaks that grab the subgingival part – and no wings sitting over the very area you are trying to watch. Matt finished for a low-glare field.

Is the Y10 a molar clamp?
No. Dentech list it for premolars, as the wingless form of the No.1. Our current product name says molar and is being corrected – the clamp itself is the bicuspid pattern.

Matt or black – does it matter clinically?
Only for glare. Both are non-reflective finishes on the same tempered stainless steel; matt is sand-blasted, black is an unpainted oxide layer.
