If you buy one MAP needle, buy this one

Perforation repair on Monday, an open apex on Wednesday, a retrograde fill on Friday – and one needle to cover all three? The NiTi N°1 at Ø1.10 mm is the size PD build MAP One around, and it earns that place. It carries a useful increment without demanding wide access, and because it is memory-shape nitinol you bend it to each case and the autoclave returns it straight for the next.

› Indications PD list for the system: pulp capping, iatrogenic and pathological perforation, root resorption, apexification and apexogenesis by the orthograde route, and retro-obturation.
› Clean it inside fifteen minutes with stiffened floss, having first discarded the plunger. This is the whole difference between fifty cycles and one.
› Keep it away from hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorite above 5% for more than five minutes, and any solution below pH 6 or above pH 8.

Needle on its own, or the kit?
If you have no syringe yet, MAP One is the sensible start – it is this needle plus the syringe. If you already own a syringe, the needle alone is the cheaper route to a second size.

Memory shape or fixed curve?
NiTi if the approach changes case to case. The Classic curved needle holds one geometry, which some clinicians prefer precisely because it is predictable.
